This is a 1-day course specifically for Rocky Mountain Precision (RMP) Rifles. The course is designed to enhance the practical long range marksmanship abilities of RMP clients and familiarize them with their RMP rifle and its capabilities.

COURSE LENGTH: 1 day (8 hrs)

The ULTRA Practical Long Range Shooting Course is designed for hunters and avid shooters who want progress in the fundamentals of long range rifle marksmanship and build confidence in their ability to successfully engage targets at extended ranges.

The course covers rifle set up, mechanics of the scope, fundamentals of marksmanship, rifle and scope manipulation, zeroing and confirmation of zero, gathering data, use of a ballistic application, atmospherics, range estimation, shooter spotter communication, wind reading and building positions using support and non-standard shooting positions.

Equipment Requirements:

  • All students attending should have a durable rifle that is capable of 1 MOA (Minute of Angle) accuracy at 100 yards

  • Scope with target turrets (First Focal Plane scope recommended)

  • Bi-pod

  • Rear bag

  • Sling

  • Tripod or shooting sticks

  • Backpack, Hunting pack, or 3-Day Assault pack

  • Spotting Scope

  • Laser Range Finder

  • Applied Ballistics software on (smartphone or Kestrel) - optional

  • 150 rounds of match-grade ammunition

  • All necessary comfort items for weather conditions

  • Any equipment the individual cannot provide must be communicated to ULTRA Shooting Solutions prior to the beginning of training. ULTRA Shooting Solutions will fill the shortages on a case-by-case basis.
